Founded in 1985, BKSK is a NYC-based firm specializing in design that is socially, contextually, and ecologically engaged.

BKSK was proud to sponsor this year’s Jane’s Walk BKSK was proud to sponsor this year’s Jane’s Walk NYC 2026, leading two tours centered around the theme “New Skins, Old Stories.”

The first walk explored The Village West, our newly completed multifamily residential building on the northern edge of the West Village. Located at the evolving intersection of 14th Street and Sixth Avenue, the project occupies the third of four corners to be redeveloped over the past decade. Its design draws from the surrounding neighborhood—referencing nearby forms, textures, and materiality—to create a layered architectural language that feels both contemporary and contextual.

The second walk focused on two BKSK projects surrounding Union Square Park. The tour began at 44 Union Square, the reimagined Tammany Hall building, now home to a flagship Petco store. From there, the group visited The Twenty Two New York, the first U.S. outpost of the London-based boutique hotel and social club, housed within a transformed former Ladies’ Mile dormitory building.

It was a pleasure guiding participants through these evolving parts of the city and sharing the stories behind each project. A huge thank you to our co-sponsors and everyone who joined us! @mas_nyc
